Google is now rolling out a new ‘H’ update for Wear OS with a number of improvements. The oddly named update brings a number of efficiency improvements that will help extend battery life on Wear OS watches.

Google says this new Wear OS update will be rolled out to existing Wear OS watches in the “next few months.” Below is the official change-log of the update: It is great to see Google rolling out regular platform updates for Wear OS. At one point, it seemed that the company had completely given up on its wearable platform. But over the last few months, it has rolled out multiple updates for Wear OS enhancing its performance, stability, whilst also adding new features to it. When compared to watchOS and Apple Watch though, Google’s wearable platform is still far behind the competition. Apart from making major strides in its software, the company also needs to work with its partner OEMs on improving the internal hardware of Wear OS watches.
