That marks a 71% decrease in ’time to known exploitation’ or TTKE, according to security firm Rapid7’s new 2021 Vulnerability Intelligence Report. According to Google Threat Analysis Group (TAG) researchers Benoit Sevens and Clement Lecigne, as well as Project Zero, a distinct government and enterprise-grade iOS and Android spyware variant is now in active circulation. Victims have been located in Italy and Kazakhstan. The spyware, dubbed Hermit, is modular surveillanceware. Google has teamed up with local Turkish OEM General Mobile to launch its second generation Android One handset in the country. The General Mobile Android One smartphone is significantly better than the Android One handsets that Google has launched in India and other Asian countries until now.
